My sisters Labrador was hit by a car...She seemed to be fine with only minor injuries ie some front teeth knocked out. It was only months later after a night shift (she is a paediatric nurse) that she found her dog collapsed. She had vomited, had diarrhoea and was in shock ie pale gums..She was rushed to the vets and it turned out that she had a large tear in her diaphragm. She may have had a very small tear at the time of the original accident which was not seen. She was operated on successfully although it was touch and go as the body's response to such trauma is to release toxins into the bloodstream which are deadly.

I would have though that after your poor little pups head injury that he should have been restricted in his activities ie 'kept quiet '. Hoping your little pup recovers....
