Yes - Yorkies are little barkers.....but many Yorkies (like mine) don't bark a lot.
Yorkies -- like other breeds -and like, people, for that matter - have different personalities. Some are high strung - others are more laid back and bark less.
Sounds like you have a "real little barker" on your hands. I certainly would try the "pennies in a can" thing. I have heard about that before and it has obviously worked for a lot of people.
Good luck - I wouldn't want one of these little guys barking all the time either. Their bark isn't exactly a "quiet" one.
