There are many antibiotics to choose from and your vet needs to be notified immediatley of the continued symptoms. Good luck.
Many drugs do not even have a recommended dosage for such small dogs. The vet then has to try to calculate on their own how to dose a small animal. Mistakes can happen when a vet is not accustomed to dealing with those calculations. Not all vets have the experience of dealing with small animals and every pet owner should check out their vets experience level before entrusting their small animals to just any vet.

There are plenty of good vets out there that can do a good job but to blindly trust just anyone who is a vet is just stupid!
