Flying JetBlue Our most recent travel experience included RT flights on Jet Blue
For anyone who frequently travels with their pup, a few comments and words of advice if you find yourself traveling on Jet Blue:
Pro: Very easy check-in, if you have your boarding pass and have pre-paid for the pup, you can check your bags at curbside and head right to security. (Airlines like Southwest require you to go to the counter even if you have your boarding pass which consumes much more time). So, A+ to Jet Blue for making check-in quick with a pup
Con: Do NOT select a middle seat if you have the pup in a carrier. ALWAYS pick an aisle or window seat. The middle seats on JetBlue house all of the electronics underneath the seat which results in two major issues: 1) reduced space for the carrier and 2) increased heat from the electronic equipment.
We found out the hard way, and no one on JetBlue advised us of this in advance - a flight attendant mentioned it inflight (on our return trip).
Remy's carrier did fit under the middle seat, but it was a tight fit. However he was inordinately fussy during the trip which I finally figured out was because he was so WARM. I finally moved him underneath the aisle seat and he was fine.
