Overall he is doing as well as he was when he was on prednisone, but even that didn't take his scratchy bitey urges away completely, so I would say it has been quite successfully.
I don't think I am still holding out for a miracle cure, Apoquel is good, it is not a steroid and although Alfie is not completely itch free I think it is definitely keeping him comfortable, without the worrisome long term effects. |
Great news, glad he is doing so well. Wish it was a miracle for him though...but at least it's working to a certain extent. Gosh, he truly has some of the toughest allergies I've seen on YT, poor kiddo (and you too!). Bless your heart though for being such a good Mom and always seeking out answers for him...thank God he's with someone like you, ya know?
