I have never heard of that either! Our Dr. Lucy told us, if Toto gets dirty, bathe her ... whether it's once a week or once a day! Believe me, when she was really young ... sometimes it was once a day!
She is 2 1/2 yrs. and goes to the groomer once a month and I bathe her once a week. I have tried lots of different products but always go back to Coat Handlers which is what her breeder gave us when we got her. Her skin isn't itchy and her coat is always shiney. It's a little drier here in Colorado, but everything is!!
