I am very sorry you are facing this terrible situation, deciding what is best for Jake and for safety.
My apologies in advance for a list of questions, but they may help in determining what is the right decision: Is Jake on medication for his seizures like phenobarbital? Were any kind of diagnostic tests done to determine what may be causing the seizures? Has your vet ever tried other medication to control Jake's behavior? I'm not sure if that would be possible with seizures.
