I agree with Ann. For showing in conformation classes, have your best pal, Peanut, evaluated by a Show Breeder or Judge. You could certainly train and show Peanut in other classes such as obedience or agility. There are probably more classes open to registered dogs other than the ones mentioned above.
Working together as a team, training for obedience and/or agility will certainly help cement your relationship. Good luck and please keep us posted.
