It really depends on the individual dog. Max can wear the Size 3.5 or 4, but I usually put the 4 on him on a tight setting.
Teddy wears the Size 4 when he has clothes on, especially sweaters or coats, but he is too lanky to wear it naked. Then he has to have the 3.5 for the arm holes to be fitted correctly.
