Good for you! There are plenty of low cost spay/neuter clinics and it's not a cutting corners operation. My vet does the exact same operation regardless of whether you have a certificate from PAWS. I believe at the time they were $65 for neuter and $95 for spay. He just believes that it should be affordable. I bought a certificate for all 3 of mine and even a foster through the local shelter. Actually, I found Dr. Wahl this was and LOVE him!!!! Best decision that I ever made!
All the worry and myths that go around about anesthesia and surgery are just that....myths and IMO an excuse not to spend the money to alter your pet.
