I used small ceramic bowls for food. They are all less that a 1/2 C in size. Since they only eat 1/4 C at each feeding anything larger is just too big. I had a few stainless bowls but Doodlebugs tag would hit the side of the bowl and he'd freak out. As for their water bowls I use a little larger 3 C ceramic bowl and change out the water at least 2X daily to keep it fresh.
