I understand the liver can regenerate itself to some degree, and even if she turns out to have MVD she can still live a long life under medical management.

I am hopeful that perhaps that last antibiotic they started that Wed before she was discharged is what made the difference and that she is on the mend. Time will tell. But, for now, she is doing really, really well!
Yes, she is lucky that her vets and her mom knew that Piper was not ready to leave us.
