You can free feed and still know how much they are eating if you only have one dog. Just measure the food you put in the bowl and keep a running tally. The idea is to have food 24/7, and this really works well for most pups, but especially the first 6 months.

Isn't anyone else concerned that this pup weighs under 2 pounds? Many breeders won't even allow the pup to leave the mother until it reaches two pounds.
