My Grandmother and Aunt used to do that. They would put it in a beautiful frame that had room to place a picture of the pet.

Another nice option would be a garden stone with the pet's name.

Really, anything would be lovely. It's very sweet of you to keep them in mind right now. I'm sure just knowing you have them in your thoughts will be comforting.
