It may stop, but it can be hard to stop. What do you mean you discipline him? Some types of discipline will actually make his behaviors in general much much worse. Do you mean you're just telling him "no" and then showing him the correct place to go potty?
Neutering may help, but it's no guarantee. Some dogs mark even after neutering.
