Today a friend of mine called and told me a disgusting story and I am posting it as a warning. This friend was in Manhatten recently dining outside with her two small dogs on leashes at her feet. She was approached by a man that told her several dogs in the Upper Eastside neighborhood had been stolen recently..apparently by a ring of thieves that then sell the small dogs to be used as bait in dog fights. Metropolitan NYC has a well documented dog fighting syndicate and this is yet another disgusting detail.SUpposedly these thieves have been taking the dogs in broad daylight from outdoor restaurants and outside of stores. Please be careful when travelling with your furbaby.
