This is just my thinking. Not a pro but I have had dogs/puppies all my life and I am a senior citizen if your puppy is eating well, bright eyed and appears healthy then it is fine. As far as leaving the puppy, you have to do what is good for you. It would be nice if someone could look in on it at least 1 time during the day but if that is all you can do so be it. Not every dog owner can stay at home with it. Wishing you the best of luck.
