The only reliable way I know of is IF you do a blood test at the vet, and I am pretty positive you need DNA from both parents as well as your pups, which is probably not possible in your case..
I've often wondered myself, as I think my Jackson is a Silky sometimes but it's not really worth paying big $$$ for anyway. He's my boy and I love every insane ounce of him. I got him from a 'backyard breeder' as well, I saw the mother who looked Yorkie to me. Odds are he's just a badly bred Yorkie really, but he's got the Silky temperament and looks. The breeds are so closely related. |
