Where did Gemy allude to money? I don't see it. What she did tell you is that she would never breed any old dog because that is the antithesis of breeding to improve the breed. The purpose of achieving a CH on a dog is to attain approval for a breeding program. A great breeder is looking to breed not only the healthiest of dogs, but the ones that best represent the breed standard. Just because a dog is registered with the AKC doesn't make them a good candidate for breeding.
As for the term bitch and stud (or dam and sire), those are the proper terms to use when referring to breeding.
