I'm glad the OP found a pet sitter. However, I am floored that ANY vet would approve vaccinations at such an early age. At 7/8 weeks, the puppy still using antibodies provided by the mother dog. Many studies have shown that vaccines that early are pretty worthless and recommend not starting vaccines until between 9-12weeks. Vaccines then take 2-3 weeks to fully trigger an effective immune response.
There are other reasons that reputable breeders won't release pups to their new owners before they are 12 weeks old. The OP states that the people who will be watching the pup pups?) are "yorkie experts", so hopefully they truly are well versed in the needs of such a young pup. |

These pups can and often do go down hill very fast, I've seen many pups end up dead here on YT. Its a cold hard fact. The vets and the breeders involved here are all wrong. AKC and YT experts, thousands of vets and breeders would disagree.
