It could be yeast, but it could also just be dirty. If the smell is really that noticeable, then I would go to the vet bc if it's fungal, you'll need a prescription ointment for the infection. You could try OTC ear cleaner...if you do, find one that is also drying to the ear so that it pulls out moisture.
