Just an FYI, I contacted the breeder yesterday to let her know what was going on.
Let me start here. When my vet thought it was a Liver Shunt, I contacted this breeder of 20 years. She says she has never heard of Liver Shunt. I told her it is a condition that more Yorkies get than any other breed. She apologizes, and states again that she does not know what this is. I told her she needs to research this.
So yesterday while waiting to see my Piper Girl. I call her and let her know that is is possibly microvascular displasia, she says, I have never heard of this. I tell her that we are fighting to save her life and that we have spent alot of money doing it. She tells me she has not money. I don't want your money I tell her. I want you to know that you are possibly breeding unhealthy dogs. Then I get really mad and I think loud, I tell her 20 years of breeding Yorkies and you know nothing about this disease that Yorkies get. There were other choice words. But, we wont go there.
So, if we have to let our Piper Girl go. The Dr. told me that they would want to do a biopsy on her liver, no cost. They want just as bad as us, to find out what happened to our girl. We will get the results. And if my baby has microvascular displaysia, I will be revealing this breeder. I am not going to let her get away with breeding sick dogs for money. And am not going to let her get away with selling sick babies and putting them and their owners thru what we have been thru. We got Piper Girl in January of this year. In just these few short months she has stolen our hearts. We will never be able to replace her. But, before I get another one, and believe me I will get another one. I am going to do a better research job on the breeders before I get one. I could really rant and rave more. But, just wanted to put this out there.
