Yorkie puppies who are very healthy and come home at 12 weeks are even at risk for hypoglycemia so the risk is even highier the younger they are. The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America which most good reputable breeders are a member of say puppies should not go home before 12 weeks because they still are learning from there moms and there are several articles that have been written about it to. There are to many breeds for a vet to know the standard and best care/ rules for each breed. That is why the owner needs to make sure they do there research. People think breeding is a quick way to make lots of money and if they do it right and well they don't make the money or at least not as much. The longer they keep the puppy the less money they are going to make. You also need to be careful where you take your pups or they could pick up Parvo or something else just as bad.
