I do hope and pray for that miracle...that Piper's glucose will remain steady, that she continues to eat on her own getting stronger with every bite, and that her liver enzymes improve.
Could she have eaten a mushroom/toad stool out in the yard? This is something my vet feared had happened to my Winston...his glucose at that time was 24...dangerously low. Or possibly an Insulinoma, I pray not...but this is a tumor of the beta cells of pancreatic islets. Winston's specialist suggested the possibility of doing a liver biopsy for insulin storage. Fortunately, it never came to that...he is 10 years old now and doing fine. I pray you have a similar outcome...Piper doing fine 10 years later. If you want I have plenty of information on this...it was a terrifying time for us, I know this must be extremely difficult for you...sending smooches to Piper and hugs for yourself.
