To adopt, nationals have priority over people from abroad. With their actual situation no one is going to go or will start the process to adopt not knowing how long this will last. The Ukrainians wont be adopting either, the economic and political situation is chaotic. All those orphanages are full and in desperate need of help.
The lady from the agency the worked with for the adoption, would communicate with them often via email, always asking for pictures and updates on the baby. For the last 4 weeks they have not received a reply to any of their emails, so they probably dont have internet service.
