Animal Smiley 019 Rare Chocolates and Teacups

In my search for my 'lil SugarDaddy, I searched website after website. I read books and studied up on the breed standard. This is what I've learned. First, and foremost, there is NO SUCH THING AS A TEACUP. The standard says "under 7 lbs". According to AKC and other yorkie registration clubs, it is merely a term used by breeders to get more money out of unsuspecting adoptive parents. It also said to look at the parents, it stated that most reputable breeders will breed larger females with a smaller male. Doing so should reduce the likelyhood of complications and c-sections. As for the "rare chocolate", it is considered a mutation. The dogs are cute, but you CANNOT show them. It's INSANE to spend outrageous amounts on puppies without champion bloodlines or that, due to "mutation" are unable to be shown in the first place.

One would think, if someone were breeding puppies they thought were worth the big bucks, they'd be showing their dogs and winning championships. Not that it means a champion is a healthy dog. As for the yorkie adoptive process, there are a lot of unreputable breeders, puppy millers, and scammers. Not to mention the flood of backyard breeders who don't learn about the genetics and other complicated matters of responsible breeding. Mid-way through my search, I just quit looking at breeders if they even advertised teacups. As a professional breeder, they know there is NO SUCH THING... especially if they jacked the price up for it. Granted, there are some healthy itty bitty babies, but there are FAR MORE that have a lot of health problems. Not only do you end up paying a rediculous amount for them, but you also have to dish out tons of money just to keep the little guys alive.

Honestly, how many of you would have given your baby back to the breeder for a refund or, most often, a new puppy if you discovered a serious health problem??? I've had SugarDaddy since Sunday afternoon, and there is NO WAY I'm giving up my SugarDaddy!!!

Don't mean to offend anyone by this, it is merely my opinions and conclusions after many hours of research.
