Continual head-rubbing is frequently a symptom of liver shunt or MVD(microvascular dysplasia). My Tibbe did it a great deal until he was diagnosed and began a special diet for MVD and has since stopped it altogether. I've read they head-rub because the build-up of toxins in their systems from the liver not properly cleaning the blood of toxins causes bad headaches and itching. I would have a vet run some blood tests and do a Bile Acids test just to rule out liver disease as a cause.
