That is sort of what I did, I now keep the stairs next to hope chest that sits under a window, she now uses them to get up there so she can look out but most of the time jumps down but it not nearly as high up as the bed is so I am not as worried. Perhaps it's me but I really don't want her to have access to my bed unless I am in it, so lifting her up and down once a day is not that much of a pain to do. You might also trying putting a little bed for her on your bed, I think this keeps them from roaming all over the place. For me it took a while to figure all these things, because LOL I did not find out about YT till Lola was full grown. A lot of the stuff I read here now would have saved me time and money
