Yes, he could be sore from where the vaccine was given, so that may explain the pain. Appetite loss after vaccines isn't really normal, unless they're in a lot of pain (which also wouldn't be normal). Instead of trying to feed his normal food, try instead to give just carbs like some small pieces of bread or cracker....carbs can help settle the stomach by absorbing some nauseous juices.

Is he drinking water?
