I called my vet this morning and ended up taking Armani in. While he did not have any more bloody stools, he just seemed a bit more subdued than usual and she thought labs should be repeated.
His hemoglobin is somewhat elevated but the RBCs and hematocrit are ok now. He also has elevated ALT and K+ (potassium). Not horribly elevated but a concern, so he will be going back tomorrow for more blood work using a different method. I forgot what she said it was. He was giving subcutaneous fluids again.
I am concerned about the potassium, but she said not to worry too much until we see what the test tomorrow shows. |
