Transition to BTRA and FSS For those who wish to enter the FSS, they will need BTRA registrations. The BTCA and BTRA will be posting information on their site in the coming week on exactly how to do this and what requirements will be needed. You do not need to be a BTCA member however members fees are lower than non-members. The BTCA and BTRA require a DNA profile, a valid registration, pedigree, MARS test showing 100% Biewer Terrier and a coat color analysis to prove that the Biewers presented are not carriers of Biro or Golddust coloring since some of the other registries and clubs allow these colors which the BTCA consider not part of a true Biewer Terrier. The club itself will be doing many AKC meet the breeds events and now AKC has started a program for breeds in FSS to be shown at AKC shows in a separate class for awards of merits but not points. Membership is encouraged and the BTCA welcomes the support of Biewer Terrier fanciers to take part in all of these exciting events on the horizon! |
