About two months ago with the vet we thought he had pancreatitus. He was put on meds and low fat diet. He gained the weight he lost back and acted like his usual larger than life self. Some dogs according to the vet can get by just on low fat food was the goal was to slowly ween him off the meds if possible. He was doing great then about two weeks ago the diarriah came back so he was put back on the meds. This was just a few days before the business trip. After his urgent care visit they did an ultrasound and discovered growths in his liver and another organ. He needed to go see a specialist and he would need chemo. We didn't get that chance. Based on pictures his stomach was severely distended so something happened inside.

I picked up his ashes on Wed. I am still so sad but forever greatful for the abundance of love and joy he brought to me. I will always cherish the time we did have. I knew his time was short and planned on doing a bucket list for him but didn't get the chance.

The timing of business trip and house showing right as he was getting sick again still weighs heavily on me. I keep thinking if only I was home...

I'm going to live my life like every day's the last
Without a simple goodbye, it all goes by so fast
And now that your gone I can't cry hard enough
No I cant cry hard enough for you to hear me now
