Show breeder to show breeder is a different world.
I shared her story on Facebook. . . . It is really important that we let everyone know that this woman Nydia is not to be trusted . . A scam artist.
I have seen the communication between them. . . Stormy was scammed by this woman. . .

It is very nice that you are willing to help her get the word out about this French breeder, I hope your friend is able to recoup her money.
While I don't show or breed I have some understanding of that world and know that international sales do occur and things are a bit different, but still most of the principles YT members preach are still the same. Twenty years ago I bought my first of four yorkies that came from show breeders. Each of those breeders either personally knew the breeder they would buy a dog from or at the least knew their reputations, or knew people they knew, or saw their dogs at shows and knew the handlers. I was wondering if that was not the case here because she said she fell in love with the dog in a photo which had me thinking she fell for the dog not the breeder. When that happens in a long distance transaction no matter what the price of the dog you are opening yourself up to a possible scam. So while I think it is good to get the word out about this unethical breeder I also think it is important to say buying a dog this way can often lead to problems.
I wish her luck and hopefully others reading this thread will think about this situation the next time they are tempted to send money to someone they hardly know.
