I would assume that would be your best bet, but for the life of me I can not understand how anyone could "fall in love" with a dog they have never seen from France when they live in MI. Personally if I loved a dog I would never want them to make a transatlantic flight unless absolutely necessary. Perhaps if you were a show breeder and met this breeder person at a show and knew other dogs from the line and yada yada. But it seems like that was not the case. I take it from you other post you are a breeder are you a show breeder, do you know anyone that knows this person??? Do you know anyone that has met her or seen her dogs other than on the internet?
It's sad but the more that people continue to buy dogs from people they have no clue about the more that this stuff will keep happening. On one hand I am sorry because I know I am not helping you get your money back, or validating your position plus you are probably saying some of this stuff to yourself, but reading these type of stories so often on YT just makes one feel like banging their head against a brick wall
