You have a great advantage with your small dog grooming experience.
I work from home too, but for me it was a good thing that my first Yorkie was 13 weeks and a big boy when I brought him home. Even at that age, a sturdy 3 pounds, and the breeder did a lot of the foundation work, I was totally overwhelmed. LOL He was my first dog in a very long time, and my first small dog. I wimped out on my second Yorkie and chose an 8 month old, Max's full brother from a different litter.
