You wouldn't be able to diagnose ringworm w/ a skin scraping...skin scrapings mainly confirm or rule out bacterial or yeast. For ringworm, you truly do have to grow it out in culture.

My Marcel caught ringworm from his vet when he was a puppy, and it looked VERY much like the picture you attached. It also was on his head, which is not uncommon for ringworm.

That said, if it's a very 'raised' bump...that in itself doesn't sound ringwormy.
