Mickey passed away on Good Friday.
He was two months shy of 4. He died in my arms.
I was on a business trip when he had to be taken to urgent care Wed night. He was in bad shape but stabilized in vet care. He wasn't eating much and didn't seem interested in walking at all, his most favorite thing. I took the morning flight instead of the evening flight home on Friday. The idea was to go see him with his sister to cheer him up. My flight was a hour late leaving. We get to the vet and my heart broke as he was brought in. He was barely there. He apparently deteriorated rapidly just before we got there. I took him in my arms and he took his last breath.
My heart aches more since I wasn't here his last days. I wanted to get him some steak. He had a stressful week. We are selling our house to move so my wife had to take our dogs to work with her for showings and I wasn't home. Another dagger in my heart!!! He was my loyal boy who brought me so much joy. Words can't express my sadness!!! There isn't enough hugs and kisses in the earth to give him what he deserves!!! He wasn't just a pet, he was family.

I keep watching Yorkie tribute YouTube videos. I intend of making one but right now looking at pictures causes the flood gates to open.
I know he is in heaven. I just miss him so much.
