The anesthesia left my Tibbe very whiny and he made this high, thin squeak whenever I moved or lifted him the night I brought him home, slept most of the time and he only ate the soft food I pushed bite at a time and left in his mouth. I gave him his pain medicine and watched him like a hawk but he seemed to be much better the next morning. I kept Tibbe from jumping or walking up his doggie steps for two or three days or even running for a few days after his neuter. He didn't need to wear any special e-type collars as he didn't try to lick himself but a couple of time and when I told him "no", he stopped. By the second day, he was eating, drinking and behaving pretty normally except he still slept a good deal that day. I think it was by the 5th day that he was allowed to resume all of his activities.
