Thus, putting the collar on for brief periods would not be effective. Many people wrote that the collar took at least a week to be effective against ticks.
Several reviews said the collar did not work on long hair dogs. The collar must sit against the skin. A few reviewers said their dogs had skin reactions, similar to complaints with topical preventatives.
