I am wondering if this could be a good alternative for ticks in the summer. Or if something like this can just be used temporarily... say if I know I am going hiking in Gettysburg (last year, we had nearly 50 of ticks on us all, UGH). It says it lasts up to 8 months but I wouldn't keep it on him 24/7. It seems much safer than the typical flea/tick collars you see in stores. This is also made by the people who make Advantage and Advantix.
