Most Yorkies need more than 3 potty breaks -- or do you mean that is in addition to having her pad?
Make sure you praise her every time she potties in the correct place. Don't scold her when she does it wrong -- this will encourage her to continue hiding. My boys are 4 and 5 years old and we still praise them each time they use the pad. It's a sport to them and they run to the kitchen for their kibble reward. I even praise them outdoors on our walks.
