 Rapid down turn - crab gait and circling
Our 4 year old boy Yogi has had a rapid downturn this last week starting with crab gait about a week ago that has now changed to very frequent circling. He's struggled to keep food down and we've put him on a veggie / chicken diet with coconut water and he has managed to keep his food down better but it needs to be a small spoon sized portion every 2 hours or so. He's also been bumping into things head on so we fear for his eyesight. He's generally restless and sometimes loses his balance and falls down such as when he shakes himself.
He's in for general blood and bile acid tests on Tuesday following the easter break- we fear a liver shunt. Unfortunately we have no insurance for veterinary cover and its such a shame to see the lad go through such a sudden downturn so please any advice or help will be very much appreciated. |
