Thanks for your advice. I'll get the book today. Getting a some sort of crate will be more of a challenge. The reason I personally have never seen her accidents is because I do watch her closely except when I go upstairs or am sleeping. I have been happy because she has had so few accidents inside (about 6 in 9 weeks), but I agree that she doesn't know there is a right place to go and I want to be able to trust her completely. One thing: white vinegar does work well. She never has gone again in the same spot after we clean with that.
I'll start reading ASAP!
