I purchased 28 inch high green plastic fence, cut it down the middle making it 14 inches. Used it to in-circle flower bed around my trees. I also have raised garden beds, I ran a strip of this fencing in front of them, I use tomato stakes (cut 18 inches high) to secure to ground. Same with the flowers around the trees. At that time I had a big yorkie, 17 lbs, she was forever digging and bury "stuff", (usually her rope toys), soft yummy earth was wonderful for burying "stuff", the 14 inch high fencing kept her out. My new lil adopted guy has been in the back yard the few days, checking it out. He's smaller, appox 11 lbs, has shorter legs then my 17 lb one. No flowers yet, but I don't think I'll have a problem with him, besides when he's out, I am with him watching him. He's not use to running free, don't know what he may try, so I watch his every move.
