The first eye ached for about 30 minutes once the deadening wore off at home, felt scratchy the rest of the day but was fine by bedtime and the other eye never even ached or felt scratchy. Plus, I don't think you can lift anything heavy for a couple days or something like that. You are very relaxed and sleepy during the surgery so you don't care what they are doing. When the cloudiness first starts to wear off the afternoon of surgery and you peek past the patch and you can see so well, it is a big shock!!!
