Def. check w/ your vet but.... Barney is a pancreatitis dog, and I had a vet nutritionist make him a diet and she went with chicken + rice and then he has several substitutions he may have for variety for both his proteins and his carbohydrate. She has plain pasta as one of his swaps. That's why I suggested it, because it is low fat, and it seems to be ok for Barney. I think the amount of chicken matters too. It is not just fat that is a concern for pancreatitis but also protein. You do not want to overfeed protein because the pancreas enzymes are stimulated w/ fat AND with protein.
