If it's a secret that was supposed to kept, well, SECRET -- then yes, you should be upset...and you should question the trust and loyalty of the friend. If you can't trust a friend with a secret, yikes, that opens a whole can of worms in my book in terms of what kind of friend/person they actually are. Friends who don't protect you and your confidences have to be evaluated.
Now. That said....let's say you told your friend a secret that put you in danger like "don't tell anyone but I've started to abuse drugs" -- that's the kind of 'secret' where the trust can be broken in my book, within reason and with the safety/well being of the person at top of mind.
