If there is no way you can take your Yorkie, and you were not comfortable with any pet sitters, this sounds like a wonderful solution to your problem. One of my buyers was in the same situation, and she had made arrangements for the leasing office at the condo where she lived, to go in and care for her baby. The person that was in charge of taking care of the pup, apparently "slipped" and told someone what she was doing....the owner returned and her condo had been broken into, ransacked, stolen items, INCLUDING her precious little dog. She came to me to get her new puppy, and I shared some very important steps that may keep her safe. NO one knows when I leave town....my cousin slips over and collects the mail, the paper, and puts garbage cans on the curb on garbage day. All my indoor lights are on timers that come on in varied sequence....outside lights are all dusk to dawn. I cautioned her to keep her drapes closed so pup can not sit in the window, where passer-bys can see the pup. Fortunately, I no longer have to go out of town, and she now takes her baby with her when she goes anyplace. I would JUMP on Bristers kind offer....
