When I first adopted my Yorkie, Milo, I worried b/c he really didn't seem interested in eating. I talked with my vet about it. He told me I worried too much---to just "free feed" by leaving out his food all the time. I have been able to do that most of the time. At the beginning of each day I only put out his daily amount---1/2 cup. Right now though I'm having trouble with ants so I put it out only at certain times & make sure he knows it's there . After giving him time to eat or not eat, then I put it away for several more hours.
