Our little guy was charting to be 6-7 lbs when we got him at 12 weeks, though I don't remember his actual weight then. By the time he was 1yo, he was 11 lbs! He flew right by that 6-7 lb mark and kept going.

To be fair, the vet says he should weigh around 10 lbs. Working on that now that the weather is nicer and we can do more walking and playing outside.

And, if I may be so bold, I would say that 10-11 lbs is significantly more than 6-7 for holding them and carrying them in a bag. We have smaller dogs come to visit and it's always remarkable to me how much lighter they feel than our pup.

But, I would also say, like the OP, we love him dearly and he's not going anywhere just because the growth charts were wrong for him.
